Shannia’s Story

 Welcome to my corner of the art world! Hi! I'm a 30-year-old artist with a passion that has evolved from a degree in education to the vibrant realm of contemporary art. My spark for art ignited during my childhood, inspired by my grandmother’s watercolor paintings and the artistic guidance of my aunts. From early lessons to college studies, I honed my skills and occasionally took on commissions.

Motherhood became a pivotal moment, steering me toward my dream of becoming an artist. I find purpose in raising my two children at home and painting for others. Growing up in a small town, tucked in the woods of southern New Hampshire, I was blessed to experience the beauty of all four seasons. Later, as a military spouse, I moved across the country from South Carolina to California, witnessing landscapes that moved me. These moments began shaping my art. Today, my family and I are settled in the wide open plains of Wyoming. I have developed a deep appreciation for the wildlife, terrain, and culture in the West, that currently influence my art.

Given my travel history, I aspire to connect with individuals who share my love for nature. My art contains natural elements, such as dried flowers and grasses, to bring the outdoors inside.
